Damascus Steel and Blade Detail

The blade is carefully hand forged using 1095 & 15N20 steel through a process of layering, welding, hammering, and shaping. This traditional forging process creates a distinctive Damascus pattern across every blade, giving each Gladiator Cleaver Knife its own unique appearance similar to a fingerprint. Each knife is individually handcrafted and visually distinctive.

Damascus steel is known for its strength, hardness, durability, and edge retention. The blade is oil quenched at approximately 2100°F and rapidly cooled to develop hardness throughout the steel. The finished blade achieves approximately HRC 62+ on the Rockwell Scale for dependable cutting performance and long-term edge retention.

The handle is handcrafted using burlap Micarta composite, selected for its durability, distinctive layered appearance, and secure feel in the hand. Micarta is well suited for kitchen and utility knives because of its resistance to moisture and everyday wear.
